Toyota is completely revamping the Tacoma for 2024, and it promises to have a longer wheelbase and a more modern interior. It's also expected to have brawnier engine options, including a new hybrid drivetrain that should be more efficient. Lancaster drivers will like its updated infotainment system, which will come with a larger touchscreen. The new Tacoma will even ride more gently on pavement, and it's coming soon to New Holland Toyota.
Performance
You wanted more power, and that's what you'll get with the 2024 Toyota Tacoma. This midsize truck will come standard with a turbocharged 228-horsepower four-cylinder engine, replacing the outgoing model's 159-horsepower base motor. The 278-horsepower four-cylinder engine will be carried over. New for 2024 is a 326-horsepower hybrid powertrain, which offers more oomph for passing on the highway in Thorndale. The new Tacoma will still be very off-road capable, but a new multilink suspension with coil springs should give it greater comfort and control.
Interior Design
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma's wheelbase will be 4.5 inches longer, which should add more space for Ephrata drivers to stretch out in its cab. Last year’s Access Cab will be replaced by an Xtra Cab, while the Double Cab will have four full-size doors. The Tacoma's newly available IsoDynamic seats will have an air-over-oil system that's designed to better control body movement on uneven surfaces.
Technology
You'll have no trouble operating the 2024 Tacoma's infotainment system while you drive. It will come standard with an eight-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. People in Lititz will want the optional 14-inch touchscreen system, which will come with a wireless device charging pad. Standard infotainment and safety features in the new Tacoma include:
